Open canoes are at their best when undertaking a journey, their ability to take all your luggage and more. They can act as a shelter or a wind break when the weather turns, but hopefully you brought your tent, and your climbing gear for the evenings entertainment, climbing the rock nearby.We are a British Canoe Union approved centre. approved for certification and training of UKCC/BCU levels 1 & 2star awards & Foundation Safety and Rescue Course. All our courses are run with the emphasis of learning through Fun, you can start by coming to our club on a saturday morning to see if you like it and then do some longer courses, and achieve your 1 star certification and more.

BCU 1* is a clear stepping stone to becoming a paddler. Desinged as a basic award (Canoe/Kayak) for over 16's.

BCU 2* this is an improvement award that helps paddlers develop fundimental paddlesport skills on flat water. The emphasis is on gaining a breadth of experience, creating the desired movement of the boat and developing an understanding into how to paddle boat and water interact (Canoe/Kayak) for over 16's.
